WHERE THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!!
Trail Information
Black Mountain Off‑Road Adventure Area offers approximately 150 miles of trails across nearly 6,000 acres of rugged mountain terrain. Originally developed from former strip‑mining and logging roads, our trail system provides a wide range of experiences and difficulty levels for all types of riders.
Most of our trails are multi‑use and open to ATVs, side‑by‑sides, dirt bikes, trucks, jeeps, and buggies. A select number of trails are designated for ATV or dirt‑bike use only.
All trails can be accessed from either of our two trailheads. Please note that trail maps are available for purchase in person only.
We are aware that several off‑road applications have included portions of our trail system in their maps. Please note that these representations are not always accurate. In particular, the color classifications shown in some apps do not reflect our official system. We do not designate any trails as ‘black.’ Our difficulty ratings are as follows: Green for beginner, Blue for intermediate, and Red for advanced.
The safety of our guests is our top priority. We want everyone to have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience here at Black Mountain Off‑Road Adventure Area.
